Thanksgiving Reflections

Thanksgiving-Reflections-mainby Tish Brown

Let’s give thanks that we are eternal.

After all we are composed of atoms and atoms are energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed but only change.

Let’s give thanks for the powerhouse we know of as Infinity.

For without which nothing would exist. The Infinite is the energy behind the energy.

Let’s give thanks that we are giving thanks.

We have consciousness –
We are aware –
We make choices –
We have existence –
We are here now.

Let’s give thanks for the noble virtues of beauty, love, and understanding.

All of these virtues are within our reach every day, every moment of our lives.

Let us be thankful that we can learn lessons.

No matter how difficult our pathways may be, we can learn a lesson and use it as a foundation for a more positive trajectory.

Let us be thankful that we can know others.

They are our lessons in patience, humility, kindness, and truth.

Let us be thankful that we can know ourselves.

For within us all, is our future, our past, and the now – and all that we are or ever will be to eternity.

Be thankful that in every change that there is anew born again.

There is no death, only life after life, and life again.

Our inner self is our redemption because our inner self is the connection to God – the Infinitum.

I interpret this beautiful poem as an expression of gratitude to our Source, not just for my existence, but for the knowledge that gives all of us the opportunity to begin to know ourselves and our expression as an element of our Source. This knowledge elevates us from the status of wanderer to that of a traveler with a destination.
