Past Lives Matter – Q & A ~ Part III

Q-A-Past-Lives-Matter-Part-III-main-4-postby Bryan Jameison

Q: How long have we been incarnating on Earth and where did it begin?

A: Our first incarnation took place approximately five and one half miles south of Mattoon, Illinois, 3,746,542 years ago on the third day of June at 3:34 p.m. Daylight Savings Time.

Q: Are you serious?

A: Of course not. Truthfully, I haven’t the slightest idea of when or where we first incarnated on Earth. If what my regressees have told me is true, we’ve been roaming around this planet for about a million years, and in addition, many of us have spent millenniums as inhabitants of other galaxies or planes/dimensions.

Q: Are you saying we have lived other places besides Earth?

A: I am. More then ninety-eight percent of my clients have acknowledged having “lived” in other galaxies or dimensions either before or after beginning their reincarnational cycles here on Earth. Yet they all now appear to be quite normal humans. If there is anything to their accounts, and I believe there is, as Spiritual Beings we truly are citizens of a living Universe, functioning within the context of many realities besides those of Earth. As Jesus said, “In my Father’s house, there are many rooms” (John, 14:2 [Lamsa]). To expand on this subject further would take several more books, each being much larger than this one.

Based on what I’ve learned through my research, the soul apparently has the ability to manifest itself in many physical and non-physical forms. The next time you watch Star Trek, you might take it a bit more seriously. Its basic premise may not be as fictional as you might think, even though some Trekkie lifeforms are a bit bizarre. Based on the reports I’ve received from my clients, the possibility that the soul is capable of experiencing extraterrestrial or multidimensional lives cannot be ignored. With this in mind, the odds are overwhelmingly in favor of the premise that the reflected image you see in your mirror is nothing but a mask concealing an undercover alien life form. Now you know why at times you felt like you didn’t belong here!

Q: In those alien lives, is our physical appearance different from how we now look?

A: Many of my clients have described their “off-planet” physical appearances to be very human-like, while the descriptions of their appearances by others, range from pure energy forms to something out of your worst nightmare. Regardless of physical form, however, they still are Spiritual Beings.

Q: If it’s true intelligent life exists elsewhere, why hasn’t science discovered it?

A: One reason could be because our scientists don’t have adequate probes or are using technology designed to detect and measure only that which they consider to be life forms. Another possibility may be that scientists simply refuse to accept anything that conflicts with their preconceived beliefs of what is possible. I hate to say this, but perhaps they already have found such life and just aren’t telling us.

Q: How many times do we reincarnate?

A: There seems to be no consistent number. Our previous incarnations evidently can range from one to thousands.

Q: How much time lapses between incarnations?

A: The time between incarnations can vary from a few minutes to several centuries. However, most of my clients have reincarnated within five to twenty-five years after they last died. From what I’ve observed, thousands of years ago the time between incarnations was much longer. For millenniums the human experience basically consisted of being born, surviving long enough to breed, rear offspring and die. Why rush back for that?

I suppose when there is no longer a planet to return to or when we have squared away every tad of karma and completely satisfied our every earthly desire. Whether we’re incarnated or not has nothing to do with our spiritual existence. I’m sure we will continue to exist in some form, as something, somewhere for as long as there is life anywhere in the Cosmos.

Q: Do we reincarnate as both males and females?

A: Yes. Nearly everyone I’ve regressed has been a member of the opposite sex at least once, and usually from twenty-five to fifty percent of the time.

Q: Do we reincarnate as members of different races?

A: Yes. Even though the majority of my clients are Caucasian females, I have worked with people of all major racial groups and found all have experienced incarnations as members of other races. The reasons for switching races apparently have little to do with the race itself, but rather with experiences that only can be had as a member of a particular race in a particular place at a particular time.

Q: If we [normally] choose our life’s circumstances, why would anyone choose to be born with a birth defect?

A: The reasons for the soul’s choices vary from person to person. Keep in mind, “One man’s curse, may be another man’s blessing.” For example, one woman who died as a man on the Russian front during World War II chose to be born as a woman with a club foot this time. Her soul’s intent was to avoid any possibility of serving in the military ever again. It is important to note that her foot defect had nothing to do with punishment.

Q: Why would any soul, in its right mind, choose to incarnate as mentally or physically challenged, such as a person who has Down’s Syndrome?

A: In many cases, because of their past performances, some souls have become encrusted with rage, hatred and truly evil desires in the same way barnacles become encrusted on a whale. When such a soul incarnates into a mentally or severely physically disabled body, its ability to manifest its distorted consciousness is extremely limited in much the same way a straight jacket restrains a person who is physically out of control. It might be said the soul has placed itself in a physical prison. This, of course, is not always the case.

At other times an incoming soul may choose to be completely free of any inhibitions, such as in expressing anger or frustration. In other instances the soul wants to be unconditionally loving and live life totally in the moment without any care or thought of either the future or the past. With this in mind, what better physical vehicle could the soul choose wherein it can be completely free to be itself than in a body afflicted by Down’s Syndrome?

Q: What about souls who incarnate into a mentally or physically healthy body and after birth become mentally or physically disabled?

A: Since I never have regressed anyone in this life who is mentally disabled, I only can assume the cause is karmic. But I have regressed mentally healthy people into past lives in which they were psychotic or mentally retarded. In many of these cases, they once had looked down upon, condemned or abused those who were insane or mentally challenged. Their own disability in a latter life was an opportunity for them to personally experience what they had so vociferously condemned in others.

Q: Is God punishing people who have some physical or mental handicap for their past-life sins?

A: Absolutely Not! God punishes no one. We alone punish ourselves through the law of karma. Besides, not all handicaps are “punishments.” Some are, indeed, blessings in disguise, often times impelling us to develop in other ways.

Q: Why would anyone choose to be born illegitimate or to become an orphan?

A: Once again there always are pre-incarnational reasons for these choices. Remember the old cliché, “What goes around, comes around?” I’ve regressed many people who were curious to discover why they were born out of wedlock because they had been bothered by their birth status throughout their lives. With few exceptions, each person, including myself, discovered we either had parented illegitimate children in the past, condemned and/or looked down upon bastards or orphans in the past.

Being born out of wedlock in our present-lives, gives us the opportunity to learn from personal experience how it feels to walk in the bastard’s lonely shoes and experience being the unjustified target of humiliation and the scorn of others firsthand. The same general cause-and-effect pattern also applies to those born into poverty, abusive families and/or with physical defects. Of course, I am sure there are exceptions, but as yet, I haven’t found any. There are also many other reasons for a soul to choose to become an orphan, but that, too, varies from soul to soul.

Q: Have you found past-life causes for eating disorders?

A: Yes. Although I usually can discover past-life causes, which may account for a person having such conditions as anorexia nervosa and bulimia, regrettably I have had little success in reversing these tragic disorders. In instances of anorexia, past lives sometimes involved the person’s survival, while his loved ones perished of starvation around him.

When the guilt accompanying their survival resurfaces in their present lives, it may cause them to starve themselves in an attempt to atone for what they perceived at the time as their own undeserved good fortune. Other causes of present-life anorexia can be traced to past lives when the regressees were overly fat and were humiliated because of their size. I also have had other cases in which the anorexic has forced others to starve in the past. These are but a few of the reasons.

Chronic overeating is an entirely different plight and often can be traced to former lives in which the person was too thin. Traditionally, weight has been associated with wealth, power and physical endurance. For example, women capable of doing heavy physical labor always have been in demand as wives. Being thin traditionally has been associated with poverty, disease and physical weakness. Furthermore, in some past as well as present cultures, thin woman were/are considered unfit for childbearing and thus, unsuitable as mates. In our society being overweight often is thought of as a defense against sexual advances; however, as many heavy women with a healthy sexual appetite can tell you, there is no shortage of willing males who are attracted to them. There also are cases when people have starved to death in past lives or endured having little or nothing to eat for long periods of time. In these cases, the soul is ensuring it will not starve again.

Q: Why do some souls choose to incarnate into prosperity and others into poverty, some into peaceful environments and others into places torn by the carnage of war?

A: As I already have stated, at soul level there are no accidents. My grandmother used to say, “Water finds its own level.” Each soul has it own reasons for choosing its environment. These choices invariably are linked to previous-life experiences. If they don’t kill the person, they usually can serve to make him stronger. The strongest weed in the garden is the one which survived after being buried under by a rock.

Q: How does being murdered or executed affect the person in a future life?

A: The list is endless when it comes to the present-life symptoms, which can be traced to being either executed or murdered in a past life. They frequently include migraine headaches, phantom pains, fears (phobias) and muscle spasms. Ultimately, these after-effects depend upon the conditions under which their victims previously had met their deaths.

If the victims were hanged or beheaded, the chances are very good they will have migraine headaches or neck problems in future lives. As a result, they usually will avoid wearing anything tight around their necks, such as ties, scarves or turtlenecks. Muscle spasms across the back of the neck and shoulders also are very common symptoms among members of this group. I also have noticed that those who were beheaded in the past tend to have similar symptoms but also have very short necks. People who’ve been stabbed or shot in the back usually are uncomfortable in groups and often will refuse to sit anywhere with their backs exposed to strangers.

Q: What are the karmic consequences of murdering or killing another human being?

A: That all depends on the motive of a killer, as well as how he felt about it after the fact. If a person kills someone in self-defense or during war and feels justified in doing so, in all likelihood there is no payback. If, however, the person later feels guilty about the killing or caused his victim to lose face before killing him, rest assured, retribution is coming in one form or another.

If one murders someone out of hatred or rage without any moral justification, he reasonably can expect to be murdered someday in much the same manner and for the same senseless reasons. Although such scenarios make great plots for novels or movies, it doesn’t always follow that a person’s former prey will reincarnate for the sole purpose of revenge. Besides, there’s always someone else out there willing to do the job if he can’t. Murder is no accident. Nobody knows where the hate began until it finally reached the point of killing or of being killed. I do know at soul level all parties involved with a killing are totally aware of what’s going to happen long before it happens. This does not mean the victim is consciously aware he is going to be killed. Nor does it mean that just because everyone knows in advance, it is okay to arbitrarily wipe out your enemies. Here again, we are not talking about “what’s right or wrong”, but rather “what exists.”

Q: Do we know others in this lifetime whom we’ve known before?

A: I’ve yet to regress anyone who hasn’t known at least one person he’s known in a past life. Most of us usually have known one of our parents, a family member, our first lover, our best friend, a most treacherous enemy and so on.

Q: Is it true there are soul groups that travel together from lifetime to lifetime?

A: Yes. Usually the key players in our lives are souls whom we previously have known. Sometimes they may appear as a parent, enemy, lover, child, a passing acquaintance or a one-night stand. It’s almost as if, as souls, we are members of several core groups that intermingle with each other. These core groups could be compared to a small acting company with just a few main actors, but in addition there are supporting or secondary players who may have interacted with one another from time to time.

Q: Can a person die and reincarnate into the same family of which he was previously a member?

A: Yes, and it happens far more often than one might think.

Q: My husband died several years ago. Will we meet again?

A: That largely depends on how you felt about each other at the time of his passing. If either of you has a desire to see the other again, you will. As I’ve said many times, there is not such thing as unfinished business. If at the time of his death you weren’t through loving one another, you’ll keep coming back together until your love has run its course and you’re ready to move on to another involvement with someone else. In light of what I’ve learned about reincarnation, nothing’s finished until it’s finished. However, as an old friend once said, “All things come to pass, that’s why they come.” The phrase “I’ll see you later” takes on a whole new connotation when reincarnation is taken into consideration.

Q: What are walk-ins?

A: A walk-in is a soul that chooses to incarnate into an existing body that already is occupied by another soul. The process is much the same as switching drivers on a long trip. At soul level both the incoming and outgoing souls know about the swap long before it occurs since both agreed to make the switch before either incarnated. The reasons for the respective souls to enter into such an arrangement, of course, varies from case to case.

Q: Since the population of Earth is greater now than it ever has been (over six billion), from whence are these souls coming?

A: Your statement, “there are more people on Earth now,” is a common assumption. Estimates of Earth’s previous populations do not take in account the populations of Lemuria, Atlantis and God only knows how many other “lost civilizations” whose existences have been covered by the sands of time.

Your question also implies that Earth is the only place where souls reside in a physical form and in order for souls to exist, humans also must exist. I believe these assumptions are erroneous. Simply put, the souls that have come to fill the burgeoning population of new bodies came from the same source as did the souls which occupied the first humans. I believe the source is infinite.

Q: Why do you use the words “apparently” and “I believe” instead of giving direct answers?”

A: Believe me, I’m not trying to avoid giving you direct answers, but I don’t want to mislead anyone into believing I know everything there is to know about reincarnation. To the best of my knowledge, there are no real experts in this field of research, including myself. Because there is so little known about the human soul and how it works. I believe it’s wise to avoid being dogmatic when attempting to describe its M.O. (modus operandi or way of operating). As far as my being somewhat cautious in my answers, the truth is that what is thought to be true today may be proven to be entirely wrong tomorrow when more data is available. Please remember that I have facilitated only about 25,000 regressions, while there are over six billion souls on the planet today I haven’t regressed. Those I have regressed only make up a minute sample of the whole.

Q: How can we tell if our mission on Earth is finished?

A: As Richard Bach once said, “If you’re still alive, it isn’t.” (Illusions, Bach.)
