When I placed John in a deep trance he was always able to access the magnificent Library on the spirit plane, located in the Temple of Wisdom complex. As always when we entered the building we were greeted by the guardian of the Library who wanted to know our intentions, and informed us of restrictions.

D: Can he locate any information from the volumes or whatever they are, on the continent of Atlantis?

J: Yes. He says we have a lot of research on Atlantis. He said you can go into the viewer.

D: What is that?

J: He’s taking me into this other room, and it’s like a viewing room. It’s as if you just call attention to Atlantis, and all kinds of images come in. They’re on the walls.

D: Like a screen on one wall?

J: Not really like a screen. It surrounds you, and I’m in the middle of it watching it. Oh, it’s this beautiful, beautiful, beautiful city. It’s gold. It’s looks luminescent, as if the light is coming from within the walls of the city. And it’s dark, and the stars are out. There’s this beautiful full moon. And it looks like they know how to use the moon’s energy. It’s very beautiful. I’m surrounded by this scenery. And I’m starting to see the people. I’m coming up closer. The people are just beautiful.

[He said upon awakening that the city seemed to be arranged like a pyramid from a distance. One central tower or highest point, and the rest of the buildings gradually increasing in height as they surrounded or led up to this point. There were ramps that joined these various levels.]

D: What do the people look like?

J: Oh, they are like us, but they look like movie stars. They all have perfect teeth, and beautiful hair. They have experimented with different hair styles and hair colors and designs.

[He said later the hair had parts that were different colors, bright colors like birds: reds, yellows, greens and blues. And the hair was braided and twisted to form various designs. I remarked that it would be similar to punk styles today, but he objected saying it was not that wild. This was different, flamboyant, yet beautiful in its own way.]

J: They seem to be wearing … gowns, if that’s the right word. No, not gowns, they wear like tunics and robes. And they’re luminescent. I mean, their clothes can change color. It’s as if beautiful spectrums of color are woven into the cloth, so in different lights it gives different colors. You look at a garment and it might appear pink, but you look at it in a different way and it appears a pastel blue. And you look at it again and you see it as violet. It changes and shimmers. The clothes are just gorgeous. And I see they have different types of jewelry, and there are crystals in the jewelry.

D: What about the city? Why do you think the walls radiate light?

J: I don’t know. There are some really big buildings there. Some of them look like our version of Greek temples. There are others that look like very contemporary modern 20th century. Some of the buildings have twenty and thirty stories.

D: How do they go up to the different floors?

J: There are movable ramps. You get on a ramp and you’re right where you need to go. They’re ramps, but they’re hard to describe. You see, these buildings are not built like our buildings that need elevators. They’re built in stages. (He had difficulty describing.) The lower levels are staggered, that’s the word. These buildings are not just all one building. They are different buildings that have ramp-ways between them. And these ramp-ways are electric. It’s like an escalator but it’s flat. They move you very fast up to these different places that you have to go to.

D: Is there any kind of transportation within the city?

J: Yes. There’s lots of transportation. There are cigar shaped airplanes. And there are cars that are cigar shaped. But basically they use a lot of these ramp-ways to get around the city.

D: Are the cars like ours, with wheels?

J: No, they don’t have wheels. They’re sort of like hover-craft.

D: How are they powered?

J: They’re powered by solar energy and crystals. Solar energy poured through the crystal.

D: What about the aircraft? Do they have wings?

J: No, it doesn’t have wings. It doesn’t look like our aircraft at all. In fact, it looks like a big cigar. (Laugh) And it has windows all around the middle of it. And it seems to get its power from a big huge crystal in its tip. It draws energy from something that looks like a tower. It’s like a mooring that helps the ship go up and down. So it’s also energized by being part of this mooring post.

D: It couldn’t go very far, could it, if it gained its power from that?

J: Oh, it can go thousands of miles. It stores solar energy in this battery and this is what the ship draws on.

D: Do they have any communication devices?

J: People don’t need telephones there. They can talk telepathically.

D: What about long distances, out of the city? Can they still do it the same way?

J: Yes. I don’t see radio or TV or anything like that. There is no need. They do have entertainment, yes. They like music. And there are arenas. (He paused and then suddenly gasped.) Oh, my God! That’s horrible! They are really cruel people.

[This was the first indication that something was different. Up to this point his description sounded very much like the others. Apparently everything was not all paradise. As I said earlier, Atlantis was in existence for thousands of years, and perhaps John was seeing what it was like during the time it began to deteriorate. The people and the city were beautiful and magnificent, yet this exterior hid a dark and ugly secret.]

J: There are some real cruel things going on. It looks like people that are attached to animal bodies. They’ve got them in this arena, and they are forcing them to fight each other. It’s like Roman gladiator contest type things.

D: What do the creatures look like?

J: I can see one creature. He’s a man, but it looks like a man in the middle of a horse’s back. He has four legs and the torso of a man. And he’s in the middle of his back. It looks like he was grafted on. And where the horse’s head would be, is just empty space.

D: I think I know what you mean. (It sounded like he was describing a centaur.) What do the other creatures look like?

J: Oh, there’s … it looks like a jaguar … the face of a jaguar but the hind legs of a human. The back part is like a human body. Oh, it’s just terrible! It’s like these are genetic misfits. They’re very cruel to them.

D: Are there only those two creatures?

J: Oh, no, there’s tens of them. I’d say there are at least a hundred to two hundred. They’re all in this arena. They’re all fighting each other, and they’re having a battle of death. And the people are kind of sitting around, and they’re not clapping or yelling or anything like that. It’s just amusing to them.

D: Can you see any other combination creature?

J: Yeah. There’s another creature that looks like a bull. It has the horns and the face of a bull, and the body of a bull, but where it’s legs would be there are human legs. These things are really grotesque-looking. There are others. There’s a thing that looks like a snake with a human face. And then there’s … oh! An animal that looks like a giraffe that has a human face.

[He seemed upset to be observing these strange creatures.]

D: I don’t want to cause you any discomfort with my curiosity.

J: No, it’s not discomforting, it’s just that these were genetic mistakes. They cannot reproduce, so why not just let them die. It’s like a sport that these people enjoy. These people are very cruel.

D: I would have thought if they were telepathic, they would be more understanding and gentle. It’s not that way?

J: No. Actually I get this feeling that they are very, very proud, and they look down on other creatures. They see all the other species of Earth as just terrible animals.

D: Do you think they gathered these creatures, and put them here so they could fight?

J: They do this periodically, because it’s as if they can always experiment on a new batch.

D: Do these creatures have any weapons, or do they just attack each other? I’m thinking of gladiators.

J: No, they use their natural instincts. And the people enjoy watching this, but they don’t clap or show any expression. They don’t yell or scream or show any emotion. They like watching it. It’s entertaining to them.

D: It seems hard to understand someone having entertainment and not showing an emotion of some kind.

J: Yes, they don’t show any emotion. It’s so different. These people are really not nice people. I mean, they’re cold. They’re superior. They have a real distaste for other lifeforms. Now they’re walking into the arena. And they have something like guns, but they are made out of crystal. And they’re directing them at the heart centers of all these animals that are left.

D: The ones that didn’t kill each other?

J: Yeah, and they’re killing them. There’s a beam of light that comes out and centers right around their heart. It looks like a laser, except that it’s a beam of light, not a laser. (Sounds of disgust.) And now I’m being taken into another place where they make these animals. These people are gathered before a drawing. There’s an animal in a chamber separate from them, and they’re visualizing a man’s face on this animal. They’re looking at a drawing of an animal with a human face, and they’re manifesting that on this animal, with their minds. They’re concentrating on this. And this is to teach them how to manifest. There’s a live animal in there. It looks like a dog. It’s very painful for the animal to go through this. This is why I consider them cruel. There are four people that are doing this, a woman and three men. It takes their combined concentration. They’re concentrating on putting a human face on this animal in the chamber.

D: And they are able to do this just with their mind power?

J: Yes. They are able to concentrate so hard that it will happen. But their concentration is on the restructuring of the animal’s face. They’re concentrating on working on the cellular structure on the animal’s face, which is very painful for the animal to go through.

D: Are they doing this as an exercise in mind control?

J: Well, probably that. But also they’re trying to find some type of pet, like we have dogs and cats. A pet that has human-like characteristics.

D: Are there any type of machines or anything in the room that help them with this?

J: Yes, there’s … it looks like crystal glass. And there’s stone, but the stone is malleable. I mean, it’s like rubber. You can bend it and manipulate it. The stone is used in the interior of the room.

D: Is this stone part of a machine?

J: No. It’s just used in the lining of the room. Instead of having painted walls, it has dressed malleable stone.

D: Then the crystals are part of whatever they use.

J: Yes, they have crystals all over the place. Big massive crystals, and different colors. And I see a control board with the crystals. And then the light is coming from star clusters of crystals on the ceiling.

D: Is anyone operating this machine?

J: They’re doing it with their minds, but they attune with the crystals.

D: I don’t know if you have access to this knowledge or not, but when they change this animal to half-human and half-animal, does this affect the animal in any way? The way it thinks and acts?

J: Well, the animal hates it because it’s hurt. It’s painful.

D: I mean, does this make the animal gain more human characteristics?

J: Yes, it takes on more human-like attributes, although they’re not really good human qualities.

D: I was wondering how this would affect the life force, the spirit, so to speak, within the animal.

J: The reason they feel they can experiment on these animals, is because they’re a lower life form, and they’re a superior life force. Their attitude toward the animal world is, “We’re superior, so we can do whatever we want.”

D: But doesn’t this make the animal less inferior when they do this?

J: They’re not trying to evolve the animal, no. They don’t see the animal having a soul. They have the souls and they can do whatever they want because they’re gods. And they are, they are gods. They can do so much. They can create and restructure that dog’s face to make it look like a human.

D: But it’s for no purpose, is it? If they just put them out in the arena and let them kill each other.

J: No, they use some of these creatures in servitude. They believe they are a low form of life, so it’s okay.

D: They just wanted them to appear more human. It sounds like they’re playing games.

J: (He frowned) I don’t think they’re playing games. They’re not nice people. I don’t like them.

D: Well, I didn’t want to cause you any discomfort to watch something like that.

J: Oh, it was painful to see these poor animals kill each other. But they’re in agony all the time, because their molecular structure has been upset.

D: It seems like it would be going against the life force of the universe, their environment, to do something like that.

J: This is why Atlantis was destroyed.

[Atlanteans were described as perfect people. Maybe they had already mastered or perfected the art of genetically altering the human body. There were no more challenges left. So they ventured into altering and combining their genes with animals. It was a new challenge steeped in the adventure of the unknown.]

D: Can you see anything else they can do with their minds? Perhaps not that destructive, but any other powers they have?

J: Yes. (Gasp) They can bring a person to orgasm very easily just by thinking it. (He found this rather amusing.) That’s something they like to do, greeting and talking and loving other people. (Laugh) That’s a game that they do play. They can influence other beings on the planet. They’re very superior-minded and think they are the best, and that everything functions for them. As a result, they have contempt for lower forms of life. This is why they experiment on the animals like that.

D: Do they have any constructive way of using their minds?

J: Oh, yes. They can create these cities with their mind power. They can lift heavy objects and teleport them.

D: Levitation? Well, that would be a positive attribute.

J: They’re so self-centered. That’s what I’m trying to say, I guess. Everything has to respond to them.

D: I’m also interested in this malleable stone.

J: It’s a certain type of stone that they use to build their cities, and these electric ramps.

D: Does it occur like that in the natural state?

J: I really don’t know. I’m asking about that right now. I’m being shown that it’s stone that has been treated by mind experimentation, so that it can become malleable. They’re very, very intelligent people. Yet they really have contempt for other life. (Pause) Oooo, that’s gross! (He interrupted emphatically.) I don’t want to stay here! (An expression of disgust.)

D: That’s all right. I don’t want you to. You can journey out of that city. Do the rest of the people on the continent live in cities like that, or is that only a small group of people?

[I was trying to remove him from something that was obviously unpleasant to watch.]

J: No, some people live in the countryside. They live in beautiful houses, and they have beautiful gardens. (Surprised) There’s no insects like we have. I’ve noticed that, there’s no insects. They can stay outdoors, and there’s no real bothersome insects.

D: Do you know why?

J: (Surprise) They created many noxious insects in their experimentations. I just don’t like them. They’re also cannibalistic, too. I saw this party of them eat another person.

D: Do you think it was one of these animals?

J: No, it wasn’t one of these animals. They captured this man and ate him. This was outside the city. There was a party of them. They went in the airplane. And they captured one of these people and they cooked him and ate him.

D: Oh, my goodness! (I wanted to change the subject.) Well, what about these noxious insects? You said they did that as experimentation?

J: Yes. This was why Atlantis had to fall, because they were abusing the life force. They just did that to be inventive. I get the feeling they were not very nice people. I don’t like being here. I’d like to get out of here.

D: Okay. If it bothers you, you don’t have to stay.

J: I’d like to leave. You see, they have this real arrogant attitude of life. That they are supreme, and that everything else is for their benefit. They don’t respect the life force. This is why they were destroyed.

D: I appreciate you looking at it and telling me the information. I didn’t want to disturb you in any way.

J: What disturbed me was the cannibalism. It was just so senseless. And this is why we have cannibalism still in the world, I guess. But they just do very senseless things for the spur of the moment.

D: If you’re uncomfortable there, you can leave the viewing room?

J: It’s blank now. I always thought that Atlanteans were nice people, with high energy and stuff like that. And they weren’t. They were highly advanced, yes, but they were very, very arrogant and very unrespectful to lower life forms. It was things that we would not understand. They were senseless. They would mutate these animals, and cause this poor animal such pain just because they wanted to do it.

D: Maybe they were bored.

J: That’s what it seemed like when they captured this man. This group of people went in this airplane, and they captured this aborigine-type man. Like if we went to New Guinea now.

D: Then they did have natives in that time.

J: Right. They went to a place where there were natives, and they captured him and cooked him and ate him. And I thought that was real senseless.

D: Maybe everything was so advanced that they became bored. And these were sports to keep them interested and entertained.

J: Probably. I get that feeling.

D: Their minds had evolved to such a point that nothing was a challenge anymore, so they wanted to try different things.

J: The librarian is telling me, most people on Earth think of the Atlanteans as a high energy people. But why was their continent destroyed? It was because they misused the life force, and they had to be destroyed.

D: That makes a lot more sense than some of the other things we have heard.

[More information was gained on another visit to the viewing room in the Library.]

J: I’m walking into the library now. I am at the place where the guardian of the library is. He says, “I am here to be of service and help to you.” And I am asked, “What is my request?”

D: Before we asked for Atlantis information and were shown it in the viewing room. And it was disturbing. We would like to look at some information dealing with their-positive-powers, if we can.

J: Yes. He says please step into the viewing room. He was confused because he thought the information we wanted was to watch the sinking of Atlantis, and why it sank.

D: We’ll get to that another time.

J: He says this is why the information was disturbing to the vehicle, because it was one of the reasons for the downfall. He says there is a sense of justice. And when one uses one’s negativity so strongly, one attracts negativity. And this was how the Atlantean civilization finally collapsed.

D: Even though it was disturbing we thank him for giving the information. This time we want to see anything about their healing powers of that time, to see what heights they attained with those kind of powers.

J: He’s showing me this beautiful crystal room. There are thousands of crystals all over this room. It’s almost like frosted panes of glass, but they’re all made out of crystals that they manufacture. They take a gel they have discovered, and mix it with sand, and this forms these most perfect crystals. But there’s a special apparatus that it’s in. It’s almost biological looking. He is showing me this wonderful area that has different colored lights. There are green, blue, red, violet, yellow, orange and white. And each one of these, he says, represents a different part of the body to heal. The white is to heal the etheric body and astral body. The green is to heal the physical body. The blue is to heal the emotional body. The red is to heal the causal body. These are all different bodies of the person. By sitting in these colored rays, in the harmony and in its sequence, one would be healed of any difficulty that lies within himself. Also there are terminators of crystals arranged in different patterns around a board that the person lies on. It looks sort of like a stone board, but at the same time it’s very comfortable. It has a cloth covering that looks very thin, yet it’s very strong in resistance. It looks like one of those space age blankets, it has that silver metallic color. But yet it’s different because it feels like foam when you lie on it. This bed travels underneath these different colors. And the colors have to be done in the right sequence. If they’re done in the wrong sequence, it could cause ill health, so there’s a certain sequence. But he hasn’t given me that sequence yet. He says that is not important right now. He says this was the highest healing chamber in Atlantis, and was used to treat people of the aristocracy or the elite ruling government.

D: It wasn’t for the ordinary person?

J: No. He says they had other places that were very similar. But this would be like a hospital for the elite in your own country and time.

D: Then individual ailments didn’t have to be treated?

J: The healing of the whole bodies had to be treated. Not just the physical body but also the emotional, the mental, all these bodies had to be healed.

D: If you had an injury or an illness, it wasn’t treated as a separate thing.

J: No. This was mostly for spiritual development and healing of past wrongs and things of this type. It was sort of like a psychiatric approach. He’s showing me the areas where people had broken bones mended and things of this nature. And in a way it looks like our regular operating rooms, except that they’re using crystal-like instruments that have been refined and sharpened to razor point perfection.

D: You said the machine you saw in the other room, that healed the different bodies, was almost biological. What did you mean by that?

J: It looks alive! It looks like it is alive. It’s a computer terminal that looks like something in the plant-type family. Because it looks like it can grow and expand, just like a plant can grow and expand. And it has a light greenish color to it. But it also has a crystal liquid display unit that looks like something out of a science fiction magazine. But it looks like it can grow and multiply itself.

D: Who would decide if someone had a disorder that needed to be treated in this room?

J: The people of the time were very aware. This was the center where one would come after the transition of a close relative, to wish them goodbye, send them love. This is a healing process for many things. Grief. They were highly advanced people at this time who knew basically their manipulations and motivations. People at this time are not judgmental of each other.

[While I was putting this book together in 2001 I had a small piece of information given in a session in Memphis. A woman described a frequency machine used in Atlantis that used light to regulate frequencies to bring the body into harmony for healing. It was operated by the person’s mind and was pure energy. It was real, and it was effective. But after a while it sat unused, because the scientists developed another machine they thought was more effective. They preferred to use crystal machines which were powerful, yet they distorted the energy. The crystals were in boxes with some type of fluid. Light shining through the boxes generated the power from many people’s minds in the room. It degenerated into being used for the wrong purposes (especially sexual) and produced distorted effects.]

[As the Atlanteans learned more about the use of energies and their knowledge expanded they were fascinated by the manipulation of energy. They discovered new ways to experiment with it and direct it. They lost sight of using it for positive purposes in their life such as healing and balancing. When the energy (multiplied by many people concentrating and giving it increased power) was used for negative,
it became misdirected and distorted and turned destructive. It became so powerful it turned in on itself. This was one of the reasons for the destruction of Atlantis.]
