The greatest hope in our world of despair, is faith. We all look hopefully toward a peaceful world. Every sane human being is sickened by the thought of war. He is weary of an economy based on war. We would all like to dwell in a land of milk and honey, secure in the knowledge that a ray of justice still flows through the stream of life. To rise above man-made systems and man-made beliefs is our hopeful prayer.
The source of true peace is not to be found in a ritual of magic, but in spiritual security. We glibly prate that the universe belongs to God, yet we will fight to the last man to take it away from Him. Earthman cannot conceive a system beyond mine and thine. Few on earth have truly grasped the principle that there is but ONE, that all things come from HIM.
Earthman lives fast and furiously through his short life span, and then passes on to he knows not what. The insignia of death is his breastplate of armor. He has placed the stamp of death on every living thing. Dedicated to chaos, chaos is his life’s pattern. He expects war. He prepares for war. He lives or he dies in the war he has created. He knows that one day his universe will fall – that the cycle will come to an end. “But, it won’t happen in my lifetime,” he rationalizes, “so why should I care?”
It was the homespun philosopher Will Rogers who said: “When you live life to its fullest there is nothing in death to be frightened of. It is a privilege to pass on.” If we could have some absolute certainty of survival, how different it would be! If we knew we had nothing to fear in death we would then be able to live life to the fullest.
To know ONENESS is to know peace. It is to know peace that is permanent with none of the roar of battle behind it. Peace cannot come until we have purged ourselves of greed and selfishness. When man separated himself from his Source, he separated himself from paradise. When he began to use science viciously he lost touch with the Source of his science.
Man is made in the “image and likeness of God.” Creation springs from the godhead. Man in his true essence is God Incarnate. He came from God and one day he will find his way back to Source. But in the long trek through the winding cycles he has met many pitfalls. He was tumbled into the deep, dark holes. He absorbs the lowered vibrations which blind him and make him stumble from his path. The farther away he slips the more pollution he gathers. Eventually in the mass of slime he accumulates he can no longer navigate. If he could view this vile stuff he would see it as a dark, murky mass, tinged with hateful greens, ugly reds, colors off on a binge. Millions of human auras are filled and running over with this vile corruption. The hapless victim is forced to breathe the stuff into his lungs and his bloodstream.
All things start from the invisible. Those whose vision has been awakened can clearly see our Earth as made up of fine strands somewhat like silken threads. We call them ‘the threads of life.’ Through these threads flows a milky substance – the essence. When played upon by electrical fire, creation begins. Every living thing is created in the self-same way. As the first essence is stepped down from its original Source, it gathers the substance of the lowered vibrations. The residue released from our distorted thoughts is like sediment in the bottom of a bottle. In time it crystallizes into a solid. This must be blasted away or dissolved. The blasting creates more of the same grade of stuff to be reassembled again. Transmutation gets rid of it forever. If we had attenuated vision we would see our atmosphere filled with this flotsam. It would seem like fog banks of putrification. This is the decay absorbed into our bodies in the food we eat – in the water we drink.
We cannot be truly healthy until our thoughts are purified. Our world will be healthy when we put health into our world. With intensified vision we would see these areas of crystallization. They would be as black as Stygian night. We would see now and then the Satanic fires in the distance. These fires are fueled by the germs of war. They have been burning since time immemorial and will continue to burn so long as we fuel them with hate.
Those who possess extrasensory vision tell us that these areas are filled with grotesque, ugly creatures, entities that live to enjoy their suffering. War on earth deepens their suffering and since their existence is inextricably entwined with ours, our suffering increases in proportion. It is hard for us to accept these outcasts as part of the universe we live in, but only because they have not been considered in our conditioning. They belong to the Source as we do. Like the prodigal son, they have strayed far from home. But one day they, too, will come back. Although they have broken the threads through which the milk and honey flows, eventually the threads will be caught up and repaired.
We can help with that task, too. How? When we know that each infinitesimal part of His vast creation is in a constant state of change; when we realize that every grain of sand ultimately must become a unit of spiritual force – then we shall know that even these hateful forms will one day become pleasing to look upon. Each living thing must eventually move forward. As it traverses time’s vastness, it gains in insight and knowledge. It finally must rise in the scheme of evolution. Man leaves the House of God connected to the strings of creation. When he severs these threads he starts falling toward the lower grottoes. When he arrives, the threads no longer glisten with a golden aura, but are black and rotten. The disconsolate beings on this elemental level would have just as difficult a time reaching the Earth plane as we have reaching the throne of God.
It is from these hateful grottoes that the pattern of war is cast. Steeped in violence, these creatures live for violence. They live to devour. To consume. They live in a crucified consciousness, a state of bondage. In a mad trance they seek freedom, but they have no idea where to find it.
War pulls us down to these little hells. War brings us ever closer to the source of evil. Once down in the muck, our souls are scarred, our eyes blinded to good. As we put out one fire another is lit. This has gone on through the centuries. It will go on and on until the pattern of war has been completely destroyed.
Today as never before the masses are sick of war. They want nothing to do with any venture that smacks of war, even though it might mean their daily bread. If it were put to a vote, the great majority of people would prefer to take a chance and give up their luxuries rather than face the inevitability of a nuclear conflict. Few are ready or willing to endure another horrific war.
We are moving off into space. At no time in our long cyclic history have we been so ripe for change. It is easier to change the pattern today than at any time we have known. When an alcoholic can embrace a concept larger than himself he can be cured. This same principle applies to war drunks. The challenge of outer space [fellowship in a interplanetary community] is far more gripping than the battle hymn.
The abolishment of war is not a task isolated persons or groups can accomplish. It means pulling together on the same stout rope. It means unity and like-mindedness. Nature pyramids by elevating all.
There will be the die-hards. Until the gas bag collapses they will not know that it has been punctured.
But peace will not be postponed. It will come in one way or another. We are at the end of a cycle and there can be no more special fruit for the few. We can elevate ourselves only by elevating all.
Doctor Carl Jung is right – we are seeking a Savior. We are trying once more to revive the old “savior myths.” We need those from On High to lead us toward the hills from where we can see the light. The “savior,” however, might not be an avatar this time, but an advanced being from across the seas of space.
When will all of this take place? This question furrows many brows. But the answer is relatively simple. It is entirely up to us. How quickly can we change our viewpoint? When are we going to throw away the old yardstick? We cannot fight our way through space.
How can we redirect the momentum? How can we blaze the new trail? The pioneers of the early days of our country’s growth braved every hardship to make life more worthwhile for their families. Death stalked every inch of their path but the adventurers, imbued with the spirit of adventure, kept on. There were hoped-for rewards at the end of the trail.
Diane [Dana Howard’s Venusian contact] has said: “Earthlings must be baited with reward.”
Again she has said: “Many have asked what is to be gained by opening up the avenues of space. To land craft on other planets. My daughter, when the spaceways have been opened up a tidal wave of good things will flow in. Many Earthlings will be endowed with strange new talents. In some the prophetic insight will be awakened. Thousands upon thousands will have the burdens of life lifted. Others will be healed of bodily ills … and soon.”
Perhaps there will be rewards greater than anything we have ever known on earth. Those who have caught a fleeting glimpse of golden empires (if only on their mystical excursions) have said they would be willing to forfeit the best on earth for the least in other-planetary gifts. Warring nations would be willing to forget their wars, their blood-letting, if they were sure the harvests were great enough. For those who have been wrapped in selfishness, it is hard to realize that there might be superior forces in the universe, that far out in the unknown even greater spoils are waiting.
But when we finally realize that there is a magic fountain from which all things spring and that within that fountain we will find peace, then life will be worth living. The Space Age can bring us true brotherhood, the Alpha and Omega fulfilled. It can bring us that sovereign orderliness that anchors the known to the unknown. It is as immutable as the stars themselves. When we find that law of balance where center meets center, we will be on our way to the goal.
